One thing that I have quickly learned about the weather in Southeast Alaska is that periods of good weather can be very fleeting. Skies can be clear one moment and overcast the next. It seems even more dramatic on the water. Last weekend I fell asleep to a quiet ocean, only to later wake up to a pounding surf. Here, a storm brews over Eagle Beach and Favorite Channel, with rain showers hanging further west along the Chilkat Mountains. So when the sun is shining around here, don’t delay, go out and enjoy that precious moment!
