After a stretch of fairly lousy weather that culminated in a couple power outages due to mudslides and fallen trees on Tuesday, it’s always special to see the sun again. Yesterday morning, the skies were mostly clear and I decided to head out to North Douglas Island and watch the sun rise behind the mountains. It was a special moment, to finally see and feel those beams of bright light again, burning off the lingering fog. Living in a place where sunny days are very rare at this time of the year, I truly appreciated and savored the moment. Welcome back, sun!
