Yukon River

The Yukon, meaning “Big River” in Athabaskan, is the 2nd longest river in North America (2,300 miles/3,700 km). It hosts the largest migrating Chinook, Chum, and Coho Pacific salmon stocks in the world and it’s the salmon that binds Yukon River people and communities together.
