Juvenile Bald Eagle

Immature Bald Eagle - (c) Laurent Dick - Wild Alaska Travel
A juvenile bald eagle feasts on some fish guts that were left along the shore at Tee Harbor yesterday. As juvenile bald eagles mature, their head and tail feathers gradually turn white. Simultaneously, the eyes and beak gradually turn yellow. Complete transformation to maturity is achieved sometime in the fifth year.
